Like all the shots I share, this is my first time ever attempting this trick, and this is the first shot. Pretty excited!
Target aperture sights make the graphite tip invisible. I can just barely pick up the wood underneath against the sand, and so I aim slightly high. So I guess that “aim high” expression really does make sense in certain situations!

As a kid my father and his buddies told me I could light a large wooden (kitchen type) match by barely grazing the top of it with the .22. I never had the patience to make it work but I did take the head off quite a few matches trying. Do you think you it’s possible?
I think it could be. I’m just waiting for it to get above freezing so I can test it out.
